I am currently looking for an on-board job opportunity in the Deck Department as a Staff Captain / Master or shore based DPA / Superintendent. I have enclosed my resume to provide you with an overview of my experience, training and certificates. Since graduating from the Naval Academy in Constanta, my career has entirely developed at sea for 20 years and past 12 years of general sea-going experience has been exclusively on cruise liners (working for the same employer). I am currently employed by V-Ships as Staff Captain on board the MS Amadea owned by Phoenix Reisen. I like my job, which is at the same time a great passion. I strive to constantly keep myself updated on anything which is related to ships, on-board safety and operational systems. I have an eye for details. I am strongly committed not to leave anything uncompleted and always respect given deadlines. I am an ambitious person and a quick learner, determined to further develop my career by extending my professional knowledge and skills through new experiences. I am willing to contribute to the success of the company with the experience and training accrued up to this stage. Since joining my current company, I have always been appraised positively. I can speak English fluently, with some knowledge of Italian and Spanish. Finally, the reason why I am applying to a different company can be shortly explained as willing to progress in career.
